Why Spin Arts?

Individual Attention

For many of my competitors, their business plan is based upon a large volume of clients utilizing pre-designed training programs with many coaches handling the workload. They essentially have built up an automated knowledge base of pre-fabricated responses, articles, and schedules that may or may not fit who you are and how much time you have.

I offer the flexibility of month-to-month coaching plans tailored to each individual. I have a network of expert advisors and resources to rely upon for consultation, but the business is just me, so you will have my undivided attention and advice.

Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. We tend to work on our strengths, but our weaknesses are usually our biggest limiters. Part of my job is figuring out what your strengths and weakness really are and getting your abilities balanced.

Tailored Training Plans

I tailor training plans and schedules for each individual client. You will receive a custom-designed training program that is tailored to fit the context of your life, taking into account personal goals, time available, ability, work, family, and other responsibilities.

Not every coach will be right for every rider, and it is important to find a coach who communicates clearly and helps you understand what is going on and why. We have weekly call in times, and I am available for email or phone consultation as well.
I want my clients to understand why they are doing the training at hand and to also learn to understand the intricacies of the strategic and tactical aspects of bicycle racing.

I have coached first-time competitors as well as UCI team members, national champions, and world champions. You may be focusing on charity rides or the World Cyclocross Championships. Either way, my approach is tailored to your personal goals.
I want you to love competitive cycling as much as I do.

I offer power and heart rate analysis, and physiological testing to evaluate effective, utilization of power and heart rate data to enhance and guide training.

In-Person Coaching

Some problems can't be solved over the phone. If you are looking for one-on-one attention by the hour from a coach, I can work with you. Cornering, sprinting, even help operating your bicycle properly if you're new to the sport.

Clinics, Seminars and Group Coaching

If you have a group of riders looking to train together toward a common goal, I can come up with custom solutions specific to your club or team.
In addition to remote coaching, I am available to share my expertise with your group in the form classroom-style seminars or on-the-bike clinics. Contact me for rates and ideas.
